An exciting new outdoor adventure could be coming to Danson Park.
Bexley Council has been in talks with Go Ape about installing a high ropes course in the park’s woodlands.
Go Ape is a popular outdoor activity provider offering treetop rope courses, zip lines, and other forest adventures across the UK.
The nearest Go Ape site to Danson Park is currently in Battersea Park, south London.
A spokesperson for Bexley Council said: “Go Ape approached the council regarding installing a high ropes course in Danson Park in the woodlands to the north of the children’s playground in 2024.”
Go Ape will be hosting a public event at Danson Park on today (August 2), for people to find out more and ask questions.
This will run from 10am until 3pm.
No formal plans have been submitted yet, and the proposal will be subject to a planning application and separate council approval.
A spokesperson for Lewisham Council said: “Go Ape approached the Council regarding installing a high ropes course in Danson Park in the woodlands to the north of the children’s playground in 2024.
“The event this weekend this weekend is run by Go Ape.
“The proposal will be subject to the usual planning application process and separate Council approval process as required.
“No formal plans have been submitted as yet.”
