Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to George Street at 12.08am on January 1 with reports of the stabbing.
Ambulance crews, a fast response care and incident response officer were dispatched to the scene where they were joined by the London’s Air Ambulance.
The charity is only flown in to help treat London’s most seriously ill patients.
The first of the emergency services arrived within four minutes of receiving the report and treated a man.
He was then taken to hospital for further treatment where his condition is unknown.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12,08am on Wednesday 1 January to reports of a stabbing incident in George Street, Croydon.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to hospital by road.”
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for a comment.
