The George IV has reopened after weeks of refurbishment, creating four new jobs in the process.
The pub has been given a new lease of life, ensuring it can continue serving the people of Woolwich for years to come.
George IV now offers multiple live sports channels across new TVs (Image: Stonegate Group) The George IV has improved its amenities with three new Sky Q boxes enabling the pub to show Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports, and sport on Prime.
This allows the George IV to show multiple different sports or matches at the same time, all on newly installed HD TVs.
Externally, the pub’s outdoor area has seen an investment with new furniture, two new trough planters, and a new astro-turfed outdoor section.
The George IV also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders, and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area, as well as an extensive offering of no and low alcohol offerings.
Sarah Linskey, operator of the George IV, said: “We are beyond thrilled to reopen our doors and welcome both new and returning guests to the new-look George IV.

The pub boasts a lively weekly events schedule, featuring Race Day and Open the Box on Mondays, free pool and Quiz Night on Tuesdays, and Chase the Joker on Wednesdays.
Friday brings a huge evening of entertainment with Bingo, Games Night, Killer Pool, and Killer Darts.
Guests can enjoy Bonus Ball on Saturdays with live music into the night, while Sundays feature a traditional Meat Raffle where a lucky winner can win premium meat from the local butchers.
