The Coopers’ Company and Coborn School in Upminster said its staff and students were “delighted” with the results.
Of the grades given, 34 per cent were 7-9, the equivalent of A/A* in the older grading system.
The school said that 90pc of students achieved at least a grade 4 in maths and 92pc achieved the same in English, meaning they have a “superb foundation for their future studies”.
Sue Hay, headteacher, said: “We are immensely proud of our year 11 students, who have shown incredible dedication and determination in their studies.
“These results are a direct reflection of their hard work and the unwavering support they have received from our fantastic staff and their parents.
“We congratulate every single student and wish them well as they prepare to take their next steps, whether that is continuing into our sixth form or embarking on exciting new opportunities at college and other institutions.”
Mr Jon Edwards, deputy headteacher in charge of teaching and learning, added: “These excellent results are a tribute to the commitment of our students and the high-quality teaching and learning environment we cultivate at our school.
“To see our students not only meet but exceed their potential is the greatest reward for any educator.”
