Ground works are ongoing with several large holes visible at both ends of the flyover.
The most recent aerial shots were taken by Hornchurch based photographer Peter Barrett around midday on Sunday, December 14.
They show wide angled views of the full project including road closures on each branch leading to the roundabout.

The Gallows Corner redevelopment – which is replacing the previous flyover alongside renewing water pipes below the junction – is now set to be finished in spring 2026 after Transport for London (TfL) confirmed delays in August.
TfL has not yet provided a specific reopening date for the junction.
It also said that further details will be shared with the public “early next year”.

The roundabout and surrounding roads were fully closed to motorists in June and the former flyover was deconstructed.
Work has since been ongoing to reinstall the flyover in segments from Eastern Avenue East.

When the Recorder asked TfL for an update on the progress at Gallows Corner we were directed to a previous statement on the delays.
Scott Haxton, director of capital delivery at TfL, previously said: “We’re incredibly grateful to residents and businesses for their continued patience while we carry out these essential works at Gallows Corner.
“We understand how disruptive this has been, and we’re working with our partners to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.”
