Havering councillors are meeting on Wednesday (January 21) at 7.30pm to consider a huge variety of questions and debates, on everything from parking enforcement to pothole repairs.
Among the questions councillors are set to ask cabinet members is a query about Gallows Corner from Cllr Christine Vickery.
She will ask Cllr Barry Mugglestone about whether the yellow box junctions affected by the diversion routes, for example in Ardleigh Green Road, will continue being enforced despite the works delays.
Cllr Keith Prince is set to question leader of the council Cllr Ray Morgon on the “large unauthorised traveller development” in Church Lane.
He said this has “angered many Havering residents”, and has asked Cllr Morgon to confirm how many of the traveller sites have been developed “beyond their permitted capacity”.
Meanwhile, Cllr Dilip Patel will question Cllr Natasha Summers over asylum seekers’ accommodation.
She will ask Cllr Summers whether the council has been approached by the Home Office for housing asylum seekers in local authority accommodation.
Two reports will also be presented at the meeting – on polling stations and parks safety – with the latter revealing that there are no plans to reintroduce parks locking.
A number of debates are planned as well, one of which will discuss a motion “halt all plans” to pass on, sell or demolish Harold Wood, Gidea Park and South Hornchurch libraries.
