The 17-foot-long dinosaur, affectionately named Zeus, was the star of a free dinosaur-themed event at Gallions Reach Shopping Park during half term.
He brought his prehistoric charm to Gallions Reach as he roamed through the shopping centre, popping his head into various shops, surprising staff.
Hundreds saw Rex during his visit (Image: MATT GRAYSON) The Pre Hee Men drive around the park (Image: MATT GRAYSON) He performed four shows alongside his ‘ranger’.
Children also followed a treasure trail, where they hunted for hidden dinosaur posters scattered throughout the centre’s stores.
Hundreds of children created a dinosaur of their own to take home at the free make-and-take workshop.
The event also featured the Pre Hee Men – a pair of zany cavemen driving a prehistoric car.
