The police were called to Parsons Green Lane just before 3am yesterday (March 30).
People claimed that a man left a restaurant without paying and then threatened them with a gun inside a building.
A man was arrested by armed response officers on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was later arrested again for making off without payment and possession of a firearm.
The man has been bailed until June while enquiries are ongoing.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 02:51hrs on Sunday, 30 March to Parsons Green Lane, SW6 following reports of a firearm being seen.
“The victims reported a man leaving a restaurant without paying, before threatening them with a firearm whilst inside an address.
“Armed Response Officers attended and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
“Following enquiries, he was further arrested for making off without payment and possession of a firearm.
“He has been released on bail, to return in June. Enquires are ongoing.”
