Catford saw two stabbings within just hours – and metres – of one another this morning (October 15), while in Islington a double stabbing left two teenagers in hospital.
This only includes the incidents reported on by Newsquest London.
The first incident happened in Islington when police were called to reports of a fight between several men on Essex Road just after midnight.

A 17-year-old boy was treated at the scene for stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital in a serious medical condition and is currently fighting for his life.

A second 17-year-old boy took himself to hospital with stab wounds that were deemed not to be life-threatening or changing.
Police were later called to a stabbing at 3am to Rushey Green in the centre of Catford.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds and treated at the scene by paramedics.

He was rushed to hospital but he later died.

Five hours later, police were called to a second incident in nearby Mountsfield Park around 8am.
A man was again treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital. His condition is not yet known.
Police are investigating if the two incidents in Catford were linked in any way.
The man who died has not been identified, but a friend who visited the scene to lay flowers said his family were “broken”.
Local residents said they were “very scared” following two serious incidents so soon after each other in their neighbourhood.

“Night time is too much, I have a 20 year old girl and I’m always scared when she says, ‘Mum I’m going to meet my friend’.”
There have been no arrests in relation to any of the incidents and a murder investigation is underway in Catford.
Lewisham Borough Commander Trevor Lawry said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man who have lost someone they love in such a tragic way.
“I know the community will have concerns following this incident, a dedicated homicide team is currently working to piece together this morning’s events.”
