Santander announced these closures earlier this year as part of UK-wide cuts.

The building society and bank said it will close 95 branches in total, which could put 750 jobs at risk.

The changes will include cutting hours at 36 sites and making 18 branches counter-free.

The closures are starting this month (June), reducing Santander’s branch count from 444 to 349.

Among the closures are branches in Barnet, Brent, Islington, and Haringey.

Kilburn Santander, located on Kilburn High Road, is set to close on June 17.

The Tottenham branch on High Road will close on July 8, followed by the Holloway Road bank on July 14.

The Finchley branch on Ballards Lane is expected to close on August 6.

In addition to these closures, reduced hours will be effective at some branches from June 30.

The Cricklewood Santander branch will only be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9.30am to 3pm.

The branch on High Street, Harlesden, will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 3pm, and on Saturday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The Edgware branch on Station Road will become counter-free from June 23.

A Santander spokesperson said: “Closing a branch is always a very difficult decision and we spend a great deal of time assessing where and when we do this and how to minimise the impact it may have on our customers.”

He added that customers are increasingly shifting towards online banking.

Santander has stated that it aims to start closing nearly a quarter of its branches from June due to this shift.
