Thomas Page, also known as Thomas Watson, was employed at Whitehill Primary School and Nursery in Gravesend when he was arrested in May 2021.
Page had been engaging in sexual communication with what he believed to be a young girl, but who was actually an undercover police officer.
After his arrest his phone was seized which revealed he was part of a group chat through which indecent images of children had been shared.
Page, 37, pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and three counts of making indecent images of a child.
In December 2023 he was given an eight-month prison sentence suspended for two years, including 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to participate in the Horizon programme for sex offenders and to sign onto the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
On January 7 this year the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) decided to ban Page from teaching in the UK indefinitely.
