Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called at 1.52pm today (March 21) to Forest Road.
One of the exits from Blackhorse Road Station was closed in connection to the incident.
An ambulance crew, advanced paramedic and incident response officer were dispatched to the scene with paramedics in fast response cars, where a man was found in need of assistance.
He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital as a priority.
TfL has reported a “serious” incident in Forest Road, understood to have been a crash near the junction with Blackhorse Road.
It has yet to be confirmed if this is linked to the medical incident, but motorists are advised to seek other routes in light of “extensive delays” in the area.
Traffic queues are said to be tailing back from Blackhorse Road to Lea Bridge Road.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.52pm today (21 March) to reports of a medical incident in Forest Road, Walthamstow.

“We sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, paramedics in a fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for a comment.
