The Five Guys restaurant on Croydon High Street closed last Sunday (October 5).
An exact reason for the American-run burger chain has not been established.
In May 2024, Five Guys opened a branch at Valley Leisure Park in Purley, which is the nearest one for customers to visit from Croydon.
The current site has been boarded up, and the Five Guys signage has been removed.
All Five Guys employees have been transferred to other Five Guys restaurants across the capital.
While Five Guys has closed for good, Croydon is seeing new openings, with the revamped Allders Parade launching six stores in the previously empty building.
A spokesperson for Five Guys said: “Five Guys Croydon closed permanently on 5th October 2025.
“Customers who would like to enjoy a delicious burger and fries should visit our newest restaurant, located close by at Valley Leisure Park, Croydon.
“Five Guys Croydon Crew members have been transferred to other positions across Five Guys restaurants in London.”
