A crime scene is in place at Fitzjohn’s Avenue today (January 4), after the reports were made on Friday (January 3).
Police were called to the scene at 4pm, but at this moment there has been no reported injuries.
However investigations are ongoing as evidence is examined.
A large stretch of the road has been shut as officers continue to be at the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Fitzjohn’s Avenue, NW3 at approximately 4pm on Friday (January 3) to reports of gun shots.
“There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing and officers are carrying out detailed enquiries.
“Cordons remain in place while the scene continues to be examined for evidence.
“Any witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote reference 4422/03JAN.”
