Police were called to Fitzjohns Avenue at around 4pm on Friday, January 3, after reports of gunshots in the area.
No injuries were reported.
The following day, Saturday, January 4, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has since been released on bail while detectives continue their investigation.
Officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses are encouraged to call 101 and quote reference 4422/03JAN.
The investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Fitzjohns Avenue, NW3 at approximately 16:00hrs on Friday, 3 January to reports of gun shots.
“There were no reported injuries.
“A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, 4 January on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
“Detectives continue to progress the investigation.
“Any witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote reference 4422/03JAN.”
