This year, there were several bands including “Rule the World” who performed songs by the band “Take that”. Despite strong winds and rain, thousands of people still turned up to dance and celebrate together, many gathering in local eateries such as ‘The Royal Oak’.
The event was also very popular with local children. “The fireworks were amazing and there was a really nice atmosphere,” says ten year old Marianne. “Even though I was tired I still loved dancing to the Take That tribute band!”
The events were a fantastic way to kick off 2025, and will hopefully be just as great when they celebrate the end of it this December.
