Multiple firearms were seized by the force at an address on Alder Way in Swanley on November 6.
Among the weapons seized by police were a “prohibited” handgun along with a shotgun, self-loading rifle and Wesson revolver found in a nearby parked van by police.
Following the discovery of these weapons, which were seized after a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act, police were able to link the weapons to a suspect who was found and arrested in Wales.
The suspect was arrested after police discovered a van they say was “linked” with the investigation next to the M4 in Newport.
Luke Carney, 27, of Alder Way, Swanley was arrested and later charged by Kent Police with possessing a prohibited weapon and two counts of possessing a firearm without a certificate.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 10 and was remanded into custody.
He will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on December 8
A 50-year-old-man and a 32-year-old man were also arrested and have been bailed pending further investigation.
