Emergency services were called to the incident in Long Lane just before 10.45am today (March 4).
An ambulance crew, a paramedic from the tactical response unit and an incident response officer attended.
A man was treated at the scene for a head injury before being taken to hospital where his condition is unknown.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police for further information.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.46am today (Tuesday 4 March) to reports of an assault on Long Lane, Finchley.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
