The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is inviting the public to learn about My Alex Health, a digital patient portal designed to give patients more control over their healthcare.
The portal will allow users to view appointment schedules, test results, health records and hospital letters.
It also includes features for completing assessments, receiving SMS appointment reminders and accessing reports.
Thom Lafferty, chief executive of PAHT, said: “My Alex Health is a really easy way to manage your care, and one of many ways we are working hard to substantially improve the quality of services we are able to offer to our local population.
“Join us online to learn how to view appointments, results and stay in control of your health.
“We look forward to seeing you there.”
The trust will host five online information sessions, all running from 6.15pm to 7pm.
The events are scheduled for September 4, 11, 17 and 25 and October 2.
Senior hospital staff and clinicians will present at the sessions, explaining how the portal can support patients in managing their care more efficiently.
The online meetings will be held on Microsoft Teams.
Recordings will be made available afterwards for those unable to attend live.
The trust encourages patients, carers, and members of the public from Epping Forest, Harlow and surrounding areas to join the sessions and learn more about the portal.
Mr Lafferty said the sessions are an opportunity for the public to “learn how to view appointments, results and stay in control of your health.”
Further information about My Alex Health is available on the trust’s website.
