This year’s theme is Love Erith and Thamesmead: portraits of local landmarks.
Ms Oppong-Asare said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of my sixth Christmas card competition.
“The winning entry will be used as my official Christmas card and will even be sent to our Prime Minister, the Speaker of the House of Commons and His Majesty the King.”
The competition encourages children to engage with their community by creating Christmas-themed artwork featuring a local landmark in Erith and Thamesmead.
Design ideas could include sporting venues, parks, open spaces, shops, or family and friends visiting a special place in the area.
The competition is open to all primary school pupils in the constituency, and entries must be A4 in size.
Each submission should include the pupil’s name, age, class and school.
Artwork can be submitted by either pupils or teachers, and should be scanned and emailed to abena.oppongasare.mp@parliament.uk by Friday, November 7.
Ms Oppong-Asare said: “I am once again looking forward to seeing all the amazing artwork and personal stories our young students have about Erith and Thamesmead.
“Our Local Stakeholders frequently rave about the interesting designs to me and how handy it is to receive them just in time for Christmas.”
The competition is a chance for children to share their artistic talents while celebrating the places and people that make their community special.
The winning design will help spread festive cheer across Erith and Thamesmead and beyond.
