Priest Hill Playing Fields in Epsom has been transformed into a film set as Marks & Spencer recorded a new television commercial on the pitches, bringing a national spotlight to local grassroots football.
A date has not yet been confirmed for the advert’s release.
The under-11 Epsom and Ewell Colts team was specially selected to feature in the advert, giving young players a memorable opportunity to be part of a major advertising campaign.
Former England international and football star Ian Wright was also on site, appearing in the commercial as part of Marks & Spencer’s “Eat Well” campaign, which aims to promote healthier food choices for shoppers.
Following the filming, the players took part in a tasting session and were treated to Marks & Spencer chilli con carne after their match which was a highlight for the youngsters.
One of the players, team captain Spencer Fullilove, described the day as unforgettable and said “it was amazing to meet Ian Wright.”
