Councillor Ray Balcombe, who is responsible for contracts delivery and the council’s deputy leader, said: “It’s exciting to see this impressive facility take another step closer to completion.
“As part of the redevelopment scheme for Epping, it will help enable our district’s residents to live active, fulfilling lives, improving their quality of life and their health and wellbeing.
“Once finished, we’ll have a facility which is welcoming and inclusive to all.
“We all appreciate the support and patience shown by the local community as we work to provide this vital new infrastructure, which I’m sure will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.”
