Staff from Epping Forest District Council will take part in the Peak Pursuit on September 5 in support of the hospice, which provides free care to adults with life-limiting illnesses across West Essex and East Hertfordshire.
The team aims to raise £1,000 to help the hospice continue its work.
St Clare Hospice said: “We’re so grateful to Epping Forest District Council for raising funds to support St Clare Hospice.
“Your generosity makes a real difference to the lives of patients and families in our community – it’s people like you who make our work possible.
“Thanks to your efforts, we can continue to be there for local families, making every moment count.
“Your support truly means the world to us.”
The Peak Pursuit event, organised by the Public Sector Challenge, raises funds for charities including Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation.
The Epping Forest team has chosen to support St Clare Hospice through the event.
The challenge offers five circular routes through the Peak District, ranging from 5.5 miles to 26 miles, with options suitable for all levels of fitness.
It begins and ends at Hope Showground and includes a fully accessible 5.5-mile route for wheelchair users.
The team has thanked its sponsors Qualis, Regus and Rayden Solicitors for their support.
Donations can be made through GiveWheel, with supporters encouraged to add Gift Aid to boost their contribution.
A Gift Aid declaration allows UK charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated.
St Clare Hospice provides care for people facing the end of life or coping with bereavement.
It supports patients and their families across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border.
More information about the hospice can be found on the St Clare Hospice website.
Details about the Peak Pursuit challenge, including route options, are available on the event’s official webpage.
The event is sponsored by Norse Group.
The council team hopes to reach its fundraising goal and help ensure that St Clare Hospice can continue supporting those in need.
