Enfield drug dealer’s escape attempt caught on camera

Police arrived and approached suspect Tafari Panton, telling him they would be searching him and the vehicle for drugs. 

As soon as he was told this, the 22-year-old sprinted off. 

But unfortunately for Panton, he led himself down a dead end and after a brief chase officers were able to arrest him. 

A nitrous oxide cannister, cannabis in snap bags and white rocks wrapped in lottery tickets were discovered in the vehicle. 

Tafari Panton has been jailed for two and a half years (Image: City of London Police) Panton, of Kemp Road in Enfield, was later charged with possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs. 

He pleaded guilty to both charges, as well as driving without a licence or insurance. 

Panton has now been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
