Police were called to Elthorne Park on Monday (November 3) at around 8.55pm after reports of a knife attack.
Medics treated a woman in her 20s at the scene and she was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Metropolitan Police has said there has been no word on her condition at this time.
No arrests have been made at this early stage.
However, residents have been told that they should expect to see an increased police presence in the area as investigations take place.
The park remains closed today (November 4), with police take blocking off access.
Officers are at the entrances and within the cordon are two forensic tents.

A Met spokesperson said: “At around 20:55hrs on Monday, 3 November police responded to reports of a stabbing in Elthorne Park, Islington.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and a woman in her 20s was treated for stab wounds. She was taken to hospital and we await an update on her condition.
“No arrests have been made at this early stage and residents can expect to see an increase in officers in the local area while enquiries continue.
