Premium Motorcycles, located at 434 Well Hall Road, has been ordered to cease unauthorised activities following a planning enforcement notice issued on January 6, 2025.
The notice was listed in the council’s latest planning enforcement action register.
The council claims the business has been operating without proper planning permission after changing its use from a Class E retail property to a mixed-use operation that includes motorcycle sales, repairs, storage and insurance negotiations.
According to the council “noise and traffic problems resulting from the unlawful use of these premises for motorcycle repair were demonstrably harming neighbouring residents”.
The council has asked the business to comply by ceasing all unauthorised activities that do not fall under Class E retail use.
They must remove all motorcycles from the property except those linked to an authorised retail use.
Vehicle parts, tools and materials associated with the unauthorised business must also be cleared, along with any debris and waste resulting from these changes.
The deadline for compliance is August 7, 2025.
Failure to meet the requirements could result in further legal action, including fines or court proceedings.
Premium Motorcycles is a well-regarded business in the area with a 4.5-star rating on Google from over 150 reviews.
The shop offers motorbike sales, clothing, accessories and servicing.
The management at Premium Motorcycles Eltham has been contacted for further comment.
A Council spokesperson said: “It is Our Greenwich mission to ensure that our borough is safe for all residents, and this means taking enforcement action when a property is being used in a way that is harmful for those living nearby.
“In this case the noise and traffic problems resulting from the unlawful use of these premises for motorcycle repair were demonstrably harming neighbouring residents.
“Those engaging in this unlawful and troublesome use have until the 7 August 2025 to comply with our enforcement action by ceasing unauthorised activity and removing all vehicles, parts, tools, materials and debris not related to the authorised use of the property as a retail business.
“Planning enforcement are monitoring the site.”
