The pedestrian crossing on Eltham High Street, between Court Yard and Well Hall Road near the McDonalds, had stopped working “since Thursday” last week, according to one Eltham resident who described it as a “horrific danger”.
They reported an issue with no extended delay in the phasing of the lights, “leaving no opportunity to cross the road safely”.
The News Shopper contacted Greenwich Council and TFL after claims that it was unclear who was responsible for the repair of the lights.
In a statement TFL confirmed that the lights have today (July 16) been fixed, with the pedestrian crossing back in working order.
