A casualty on the tracks was reported at Elmstead Woods station at around 11.55am on March 1.
Officers were dispatched to the scene with London Ambulance Service crews where they located a person.
The person was pronounced dead shortly after.
Their death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Elmstead Woods station at around 11.55am on Saturday, 1 March, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
