Officers on patrol found a parked on Elm Road this morning (February 25), with a body inside.
The death is being treated as non-suspicious, the Metropolitan police said.
There were reportedly nearly a dozen officers at the scene, as Elm Road was blocked off near the junctions of Cross Road and Elm Close by police.
The road has since reopened.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 25 February, officers on patrol discovered a male who was sadly deceased in a vehicle on Elm Road, Collier Row.
“A crime scene was in place whilst the officers investigated, but the road has now re-opened.
“Both the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“The death is treated as non-suspicious.”
The London Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
