Albanian artist Gjovalin Dushaj painted a vibrant beachside scene onto a bin outside Valentin Café in Bounces Road, Edmonton, on March 26.
Dushaj said the artwork was painted as a gift to the café owner, and while he doesn’t plan to paint more bins in the area, he thanked the community for their support.
The artist added he has also painted bins in countries such as the United States and hopes his initiative will add “life” to the streetside café.
Passers by admired the transformation, describing the work as “beautiful” and some took to social media to express their appreciation for the coastal design.

Una Darrer, who lives in Bush Hill Park, said that it will brighten up the view for people passing through the area.
“It looks lovely and anything joyful on your travels will cheer you up,” she added.
Maureen Fuller from Higham Hill North also resonated with the artwork and wants to support the artist by finding him on social media.
“I want to have some things painted on my back wall like sunflowers, butterflies or bees,” she added.
The artist shares his work on Instagram, under the account name ‘Dushaj_art’, where he has nearly 200 followers.
