A casualty on the tracks was reported on the Northern line at around 7.20am today (September 3).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called at around 7.20am today, Wednesday 3 September, to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Edgware Underground station.
“Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
