A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital in a critical condition on January 4 following a triple stabbing in Edgware Road.
A second man in his 30s suffered “life-changing injuries”, while a third victim in his 20s was treated for minor injuries.
However, the Metropolitan Police has since confirmed that the man in his 20s is no longer in a life-threatening condition.
Emergency services were called to the bus central London street just before 1am on January 4 following reports of “multiple stabbings”.
Two men from Croydon have now been arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
They appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 6), where they were remanded in custody.
A 28-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident, but has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Two men have been charged in connection with a stabbing in northwest London which left three men injured.
“Around 00:50hrs on Sunday, 4 January, officers attended Edgware Road, W2, with the London Ambulance Service following reports of multiple stabbings.
“Three men were found at the scene with stab injuries, and were hospitalised.
“Two of the victims’ injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening, while the third victim, aged in his 20s, suffered minor injuries.
“Omar Bakar, 26 (01.10.99), and Yaya Ballo, 21 (16.12.04) – both from Croydon – were subsequently arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
“They appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 6 January, where they were remanded in custody.
“A 28-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.”
