The pupils put on a carnival celebration before Edgware Primary School broke up for the summer holiday.
Families joined in with a picnic in the school grounds, entertained by roaming circus performers moving around and engaging with the excited pupils.
The school has made “significant progress” in its first decade, having achieved two ‘good’ ratings in Ofsted inspections.
It is now recognised as a ‘Thinking’ school and a ‘Trauma Informed’ school for its emotional wellbeing and critical thinking as well as academic achievement.
Headteacher Alison Jacob was full of pride in the progress Edgware Primary has made during its first 10 years.
“This school is built on the strength, love and resilience of our children and their families and the staff,” she said. “We celebrated everything we’ve achieved together and the bright future that lies ahead.”
The celebrations showed the pupils’ energy and diversity, dressed bright colours for a parade around the playground followed by a musical performance with the whole school in song.
