Bernie Taylor and her cousin Felix Baker will be leaving Albert Square nearly a decade on from their “controversial” debut.
It was revealed earlier this year that actors Clair Norris and Matthew James Morrison would be leaving the programme because of major changes being made by new boss Ben Wadey.
According to The Metro, Claire said of the pair’s exit: “It’s exciting. It’s an exciting time. Also very dramatic. You’ll have to stay tuned.”
EastEnders stars axed from the BBC show after eight years
BBC viewers recently discovered that Bernie has been stealing from the Panesar family after being left in control of their business by Nish.
After realising what was going on, Ravi and Vinny set out to expose Bernie as a thief.
However, they were not expecting Bernie to get up and leave to avoid facing any consequences for her actions.
She went on to pack her bags and convince Felix to leave Albert Square with her.
After snatching £25,000 from the business, the pair set out to leave and start a new life elsewhere.
However, as they made their way to the taxi, they were stopped by Suki, with other members of The Six watching, according to The Sun.
Exposing the EastEnders characters, Suki said: “She stole from me,” before Bernie retorted: “No, you did.”
She added: You all did. You stole from me and my family. Something that I can never get back.
“You’ve all just moved on. You can walk away from the Vic now that it’s up for sale and start again, you’ve got Harvey, Jack, all your kids…”

“Everything that you ever wanted. You can be who you are with the woman that you love.
“This money is a drop in the ocean to get away with what you did, to move on, to finally let me, my mum, my family, to be finally be free of this.”
