The London restaurant serving ‘sublime’ burgers
Describing the Dove, The Good Food Guide shares that it is unmissable: “Larger plates might include Tamworth pork loin chop or glazed duck leg with smoked beetroot for those hankering after some animal protein, and there’s an ‘off-menu’ burger too.”
Although rated among the UK’s best, the burger is a limited item at the Dove, as the restaurant shares: “We do have a burger available off-menu.
“We prepare ten for each service.
“We suggest if you’re determined to secure one, book the earliest seating.”
The Dove’s burger stands out from the rest, made of a double-minced mix of 50+ day-aged rib cap, brisket, chuck and suet.
Adding that it’s topped with a lyonnaise of white onions slow-cooked for six hours in caramelised butter and champagne, and a generous layer of gorgonzola, all tucked into a bun toasted in aged beef fat.
Sounds delicious.
It’s not just us or The Good Food Guide who think so, as dozens of guests at the Dove have taken to Google Reviews to share their thoughts.
One recent guest wrote: “Burger on the blackboard was absolutely delicious- with the melted Gorgonzola sauce and the onion ‘purée’ reduction.
“Simple but oh so good, definitely the top gourmet burger in London.
