The boys precariously balance in the open space between two carriages as the train speeds high above east London.
When the train slows at Canary Wharf, the daredevils leap off the still moving train and bolt for the stairs.
All the while shocked passengers – travelling by the conventional method inside a carriage – gape at the boys as they disembark at London’s core financial district.
The British Transport Police have slammed the practice known as ‘train-surfing’ as being “incredibly dangerous”.
It can “very easily result in death or serious injury”.
Officers have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch with information.
A BTP spokesperson said: “So called ‘train-surfing’ is incredibly dangerous and can very easily result in death or serious injury.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 454 of 17 October.”
