The incident happened in Devizes Road near Beatrice Square just after 6.20pm yesterday (March 18).
Officers and South East Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for further treatment where he remains in a stable condition.
A 27-year-old man from Tadworth was arrested in connection with the incident.
He remains in police custody at this time.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Officers were called to Devizes Road/Beatrice Square in Tadworth at 6.22pm on Tuesday, 18 March following reports of a stabbing at the location.
“South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended, and a man in his 30s was given medical attention at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains at this time in a stable condition.
“A 27-year-old man from Tadworth has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
“We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident, and we do not believe there to be any risk to the wider public.
“We understand that the public may be distressed by this incident, and there will be a continued police presence in the area today while officers carry out their enquiries.
