Police and paramedics were called to the junction of Oakfield Lane and Leyton Cross Road shortly after 5pm on Thursday (July 10), after reports of concern for the man’s welfare.
Several police vehicles and an ambulance were seen at the scene, with the road blocked around 6pm.
South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details about the circumstances have been disclosed.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended and a man in his 40s was confirmed to be deceased.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner. The man’s next of kin have been informed.”
