A flood alert has been issued around the River Darent from Westerham to Dartford since this morning (February 24).
Areas most at risk are mainly low-lying land and roads along the river, however no property flooding is expected.
According to the Environment Agency alert, the river level should have peaked by midday.
Weather conditions are expected to improve later in the afternoon, and no further flooding is expected.
The agency has asked for people to take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
People have also been asked to avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
