Kent Police was called at 5.15pm on January 7, 2025 to Darenth Wood Road, to reports a vehicle was being used to make dogs run next to them.
Officers searched the area, but neither the vehicle nor the dogs were found.
The RSPCA has been informed and will lead the investigation into possible animal cruelty.
A video shared on social media shows a large white vehicle pulling two whippet-like dogs alongside it.
We have approached the RSPCA for further comment.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 5.15pm on 7 January 2025 to a report that vehicles were being used to make dogs run alongside them, in Darenth Wood Road.
“Officers attended and searches were carried out but neither the vehicles nor dogs were located.
“The RSPCA has been notified, who will be leading and investigating any allegations of animal cruelty.”
