The Dartford Crossing, which connects Kent, Essex and much of the wider south-east via the M25, will see a series of overnight restrictions throughout the first full week of the new year, beginning on Monday, January 5.
National Highways is carrying out planned maintenance and resurfacing works on both the tunnels and the bridge, with the northbound West Tunnel and other parts of the route facing repeated closures.
On January 5 and 6, the northbound West Tunnel will be closed for maintenance.
The following night, January 6 into January 7, will see more extensive shutdowns, with the roundabout and link road at Junction 1B closed for resurfacing and additional northbound restrictions at Junction 2, Junction 1B and the West Tunnel.
These same closures and diversions will be repeated nightly through January 12.

January 5 to 6
A282 northbound Dartford Crossing West Tunnel closed for maintenance (10pm to 5.30am).
January 6 to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9
A282 Junction 1B roundabout carriageway closure
A282 northbound Junction 2 to Junction 1B link road closure
A282 northbound Junction 1B entry slip road closure
A282 northbound Dartford Crossing West Tunnel closure
All closures from 10pm to 5.30am.
January 9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12
Closures repeated, with the West Tunnel closing at 10pm and reopening at 5.30am on January 10, and at 5am on January 11.
On January 11, the northbound Dartford Crossing East Tunnel will also close from 10pm to 5am.
All works are due to end by the morning of Monday, January 12.
Diversions will use both the National Highways network and local authority routes.
