A vespa was reported stolen from the garage of a property near Joyden’s Wood in Dartford on Sunday (August 3) at around 11.40pm.
Police began to investigate the surrounding area and officers patrolling found a suspicious motorbike rider and signalled for him to stop.
Officers had to chase the suspect as he got off his bike and fled on foot.
The teenager was detained and the motorbike was seized.
The day after, the 16-year-old boy was charged with burglary and three driving offences.
He was also charged with the attempted theft of a vehicle on August 3 in Bexley.
He was conditionally bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (August 5).
