The newly refurbished water playground in Danson Park welcomed children again from Monday, April 7, just in time for the Easter holidays.
The improvements were made possible by Bexley Council’s investment.
The park now features new equipment, water activation posts, and a surface to replace the worn-out facilities.

The new waist-level water activation posts make the park accessible for all.
The improvements came with new technology to provide water feature sequencing and activation that conserves water.
This encourages movement throughout the park, enabling more active play and exercise.
The park caters to different age groups with low-level characters and gentle water sprays for younger children or beginners, while more confident children can enjoy the more challenging water features.
The toilets opposite the car park and the Mansion House toilets have also been refurbished.
Councillor Richard Diment, Bexley’s Cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “We’re making a significant investment in Danson Splash Park and in the toilet facilities because we know how important these are for local families, particularly those who don’t have gardens.
“We’ve ensured that the water playground will be fully accessible and more environmentally friendly, but that most importantly children of all ages can enjoy it.
“These improvements will ensure that the water playground continues to be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.”
The refurbishment aims to provide a fun and environmentally friendly space for local children to enjoy for years to come.
