The incident happened between Rainham Road North and Frizlands Lane just after 7.20am yesterday (January 29).
The 16-year-old was found injured and she was rushed to hospital where her condition was initially unknown.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (January 30) that her injuries were assessed to be non-life-changing and non-life-threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
The full Metropolitan Police statement says: “Police were called to a reported traffic collision on Rainham Road North, Dagenham at approximately 7.22am on Wednesday, 29 January.
“A girl aged 16 was injured at the scene and has been taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where she remains.
“Her condition is urgently being assessed by medical professionals as we await an update on her condition.
“There have been no arrests at present and enquiries continue.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said previously: “We were called 7.27am this morning (Wednesday 29 January) to reports of a road traffic collision in Frizlands Lane, Dagenham.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, incident response officers and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived in two minutes.
“Our crews treated a teenager at the scene, before taking her to a London major trauma centre by road.”
London’s Air Ambulance was contacted for comment.
