Curry Corner, on West Wickham High Street, was ordered to close by a judge at Bromley Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, October 9.
The judge said she was “satisfied that an imminent risk of injury to health is involved arising from the active cockroach infestation present in the kitchen and bar area at Curry Corner”.
A hygiene emergency prohibition order, which had been applied for by Bromley Council, was granted.
It bans use of the kitchen, storerooms, bar and restaurant area for the purposes of the business.
