A planning application has been submitted by a Mr Shen of AS Architectural Design and Planning.
It proposes the change of use of a storage unit at the rear of 61 Crow Lane to a venue for a pizza delivery service.
According to a planning document, the unit is situated in an industrial area amongst other units which have been leased to various businesses such as window designers, printing services and vehicle maintenance firms.
The landlord of the unit owns First Stop Signs Print, a printing shop in Crow Lane.
The unit is situated down a footpath in Crow Lane (Image: Google) The document explains that if plans are approved by Havering Council, the venue will produce pizzas for delivery only.
There would be no option for customers to collect pizzas themselves which would lead to “no transport or parking issues”.

There would be one permanent and two part time employees and the venue would operate from 11am to 11pm.
No external or structural changes would be made to the unit but a new shopfront would be installed inside.
This would only be visible when the shutters are open.
An openable window would allow delivery drivers to collect their orders.
No plans have been submitted for a kitchen ventilation system as all the equipment used in the running of the business and making of the pizzas would be electric, the document said.
This includes a commercial pizza oven, a dough mixer, a commercial fridge and a pizza counter.
It is unclear whether it is an established chain or independent brand that may use the venue.
A decision is expected to be made by Havering Council by October 21.
