Hertfordshire Police was called at around 11.30pm on Saturday (November 29) to Vu Lounge – a Turkish restaurant in Bushey, near Watford .
A man in his 30s, who has not been identified, was left in a critical condition after an alleged fight.
The force confirmed today (December 4) that he has passed away.
Dequarn Williams, 25 and of Sancroft Close in Cricklewood, remains in custody charged with murder.
He is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court tomorrow (December 5).
A woman, aged in her 30s, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remains on bail while the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this tragic time.
“I know this incident will have caused significant concern among the local community.
“Our investigation is moving at pace and a man has been charged with murder and remanded into custody.
“We believe this is an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.
