Emergency repairs are underway after the burst water pipe left dozens of homes with the CR0 postcode without water today (March 17).
Thames Water has now rerouted the network to get water flowing into taps.
“We do not anticipate any further interruptions to your supply while we continue repairs” a spokesperson added.
The company has warned that it may take some time for water pressure to stabilise across the local network, with normal service expected to resume within two hours.
A spokesperson for Thames Water added: “Our engineers are dealing with a burst pipe in CR0.
“We’re sorry if you have experienced low pressure or no water due to this.
“We have now rerouted our network to get water flowing in your taps, and do not anticipate any further interruptions to your supply while we continue repairs.
“Please be aware that the water pressure is likely to take time to build in the local pipe network.
“As a result, it could take up to two hours for things to return to normal.
“We’re really sorry for the disruption this has caused.”
