The £30 million Identity scheme is the latest addition to Harlow Innovation Park and is expected to bring investment and create hundreds of new jobs.
Delivered by Wrenbridge in partnership with Harlow Council, the project is part of a broader push to position Harlow at the centre of the UK Innovation Corridor.
Cllr Dan Swords, leader of Harlow Council, said: “This week’s groundbreaking and the start of construction at Identity is a powerful vote of confidence in Harlow.
“This is private sector investment choosing our town because it believes in our future.

“We are delivering on our mission to Secure our Future and strengthening Harlow’s position at the heart of the UK Innovation Corridor.
“Investment like this brings real opportunity, high-quality jobs, a stronger local economy and renewed pride in our town.
“Identity is not just another building.
“It shows that Harlow is open for business, that investors believe in what we are doing, and that our regeneration plans are being turned into reality on the ground.”
Identity is aimed at attracting employers working in life sciences, technology, research and advanced manufacturing.
The scheme will deliver more than 149,000sq ft of commercial space across six units, with plans to support hundreds of high-value jobs once fully occupied.
It will sit alongside the Nexus, Modus and Arise buildings and complements other investment in the area, such as the soon-to-open David Lloyd Leisure Club.
James Feltham, director at Wrenbridge, said: “We are excited to be bringing forward Identity, Harlow which will provide best-in-class accommodation into the Harlow market.
“The highly sustainable scheme has a strong focus on staff welfare which is enhanced by the excellent amenity provision onsite and locally.”
The development will include modern office space, research and development facilities, and hi-tech manufacturing units.
It will be built to high sustainability standards, targeting EPC A and BREEAM Excellent ratings.
Construction is expected to be completed and open in summer 2026.
