Police were called to Colyers Lane near Brook Street at around 9.06pm on Saturday (June 21) following reports of a large group causing a disturbance on the residential street.
A major police presence was seen in the area, with multiple police vehicles attending and officers forming a line across the road, as shown in a photo obtained by the News Shopper.
Officers responded by issuing a Section 35 dispersal order, which gives them the power to move people on.
The group left the area shortly after.
During the incident, three officers were assaulted and suffered minor injuries.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and violent disorder.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
